Massachusetts NOW 2007 State Conference

Ever thought about running for office? Know someone who is? Come to our annual state conference and learn more about the important role of women in electoral politics! Also, take part in our state election for Mass NOW officers and learn more about exciting new initiatives at Mass NOW!

Massachusetts NOW 2007 State Conference Run, Jane, Run! This year's state conference, "Run, Jane, Run!" will focus on women running for public office. Come to UMASS Boston on Saturday, December 1, 2007 from 10-1:30 to hear keynote speaker Carol Hardy-Fanta, Director of the Center for Women in Politics and Public Policy at the University of Massachusetts, Boston....and be sure to stay for an afternoon of discussion about women in politics, a working lunch where you can elect the Mass NOW officers and a "how-to" workshop presented by Georgia Hollister-Isman, Director of Mass Alliance; a coalition of twenty-two progressive organizations, including Mass NOW, committed to collaboration, education, advocacy, and electoral work to advance the progressive agenda. We will also honor the 2007 Massachusetts NOW Legislator of the Year, State Representative Alice Wolf.
