1. Thanks so much to everyone who has participated in our workshop this Fall; we much appreciate your involvement and intellectual engagement.
2. Our Spring workshops will be held on Tuesdays from 12pm-1:30pm in William James Hall 601. The first Spring workshop has been tentatively scheduled to be on Feb. 12. As usual, a light lunch will be served.
3. We will be putting together the Spring schedule in January and hope that many of you would consider presenting your research in the Spring. If you have a paper or a disseration chapter that you would like to share, please let us know so that we can save you a presentation slot.

Holiday Party--Tuesday, DECEMBER 18th @ 6PM
Dear Classmates,
I am sure you will all agree that we need a party after this semester is over! I have been talking with Nency and mentioned it to some of you that we should have a holiday party.
I was thinking TUESDAY, DECEMBER 18th @ 6PM
I am willing to offer my large, almost empty apartment for the occasion.
Everyone could bring something to eat and something to drink.
What do you ladies think? Please post your thoughts and we can decide whether to hold the party on Tuesday in class.

Is the best candidate for women a woman?
There's an interesting article in the NYT today about Obama trying to garner support from women. Check it out: http://www.nytimes.com/2007/12/02/us/politics/02women.html?ex=1354251600&en=bb9c8f992b53ac30&ei=5088&partner=rssnyt&emc=rss
